I happened across a great post earlier today and it was a 15 Minute Lesson For The Photography Beginner by Peter West Carey

He met a young traveller at an airport and while they were talking, his new companion said “I just bought this camera before my trip and I haven’t a clue how to use it. So I just leave it on Auto.”
